My Story
I have been a Senior Paralegal in family law for over 30 years, completed mediation training and received my certificate in mediation.
When I moved back to Colorado, I was fortunate to find a job in family law as a paralegal and have worked for some incredible attorneys over the years. Some of the attorneys I supported did GAL and CFI work and with others very high asset cases and pro bono cases. Every case that I assisted on mattered to me. But the most important thing I learned is how to be compassionate and caring while helping families get through the most difficult times in their lives.
Becoming a paralegal has led me to a new profession as a Licensed Legal Paraprofessional (LLP). I took the first ever LLP Bar Exam that was given in Colorado in April 2024 and was sworn in on June 20, 2024. As an LLP, I am now able to use all my experience, knowledge and skills by providing legal assistance (within the LLPs scope of practice) in domestic matters.
In August 2024, I started my own business as an LLP at 5280 Licensed Legal Paraprofessional, LLC. I have always said that having knowledge gives you the power to make decisions for yourself. I look forward to providing legal assistance to those who need help navigating their complex family law matters.
I am the mother of three now adult sons (there was never a dull moment raising them either). I love spending time with my family and friends, hiking, paddleboarding and am an avid sports fan.
I am a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Denver Bar Association, CBA Family Law Section, Metro Volunteer Lawyers, Mediation Association of Colorado and Rocky Mountain Paralegal Association.
